I love my blog, I really do and I enjoy creating content and making it my own but something I still haven’t done is fully share it with the world. So I do have a link on my Twitter and Instagram pages but I don’t talk about it or let people know about it as I’m just nervous to what they may think, it sounds silly and yes, I just need to get out there and share my passion with everyone but I just can’t push the bullet.
My best friend reads my blog and her support is so uplifting and my boyfriend sees the content that I post and my family know about it but haven’t read it, but that’s about it! I would really love to share links through social media and maybe even put it on my Facebook one day, the day I get the courage to, will be a scary but good feeling. I see small bloggers post links all the time on their Twitter or Instagram pages and I wish I just had the guts to go do it and engage more to grow my audience but a part of me is too scared and nervous to… 😦
I currently have 348 wordpress followers and just 110 on Bloglovin’ and I know it’s not a huge amount but to me I am grateful if just 1 or 2 people read my blog! I blog for myself, and I enjoy it and if others enjoy it too then thats amazing. When I get to 400 or 500 followers on my blog, that will be when I will push myself to start posting links to my blog posts and maybe even share it on Facebook. Wow, it’s scary just talking about it haha!
Does anyone else keep their blog quite private from the people they know in real life? Or am I the only one?
Until next time gals & ghouls
Being an obsessive hair colour changer that I am, I was getting that feeling again where I wanted a different colour in my life, my hair literally changes with my mood!
When I seen the range of Colorista coloured hair dyes by L’oreal I instantly fell in love, they are the most gorgeous shades and it was a toss up between the dirty pink or the lilac, this time I went for the lilac. I thought I’d show you what this product made my hair turn out like as I have never used this dye before as I am a lover of Directions hair dyes!, but it’s nice to try other brands from time to time. As the days are getting colder now we tend to spend a lot more time indoors and i myself like to just sit and binge watch tv shows or films and netflix has a whole range Continue reading “5 Current Netflix favourites”
Now who doesn’t love a good christmas film? Especially on a cold winter’s night in December, I usually grab some treats and a hot chocolate with a soft throw over me on the sofa and get cosy to put a film on. I do like traditional christmas films but I also like some others as well, comedy ones are brilliant too things like Bad Santa! Haha.
I’ve put together a few of my all times faves which I will always watch over the festive period to make me feel more cheerful and into the christmas spirit.
“Hi, buddy the elf, what’s your favourite colour?” Let’s start of with the funniest film that I just loooovveee, ELF! Will Ferrell, who plays the main character, never fails to make me laugh my head off, he is one of my all time favourite actors. The story follows Buddy the elf, who in fact isn’t actually an elf but whom was raised by elves, is on the search to New York city from the North Pole, to find his real father. If you have never watched this film i highly recommend it if you want a giggle and also it warms your heart and shows how family is important especially near christmas time.
Home Alone is a childhood favourite of mine and all my siblings, we would stick the video tape into the player and all sit around the television eating out of the Quality street and Roses tins! The strawberry and orange cremes are my fave YUM. 8 year old Kevin McCallister is accidentally left home alone whilst his huge crazy family jet off to Paris for the holidays. He comes across burglars who have their eye on his family home but Kevin is clever and has lots of booby traps in mind to stop them! It’s fun and funny and an all rounder with the family.
Going back to the 90s again with another classic Jingle All The Way starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. This is about him being a father and wanted to get the new Turbo Man toy for his son Jamie for christmas but as always he has left it to last minute and is racing against time and another father to grab a turbo man! This will have you laughing too and it excites you as you don’t know what he’s going to come across next. This is a fab film for all the family.
The Holiday is a real romance film that is set around Christmas time and really warms your heart. It shows the story of 2 women who are sick of the men in their life so decide to swap homes for the Christmas holidays! It is a real lovey film but has so much joy and some giggles along the way too. It’s got some fantastic actors in including the 4 main parts played by Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jack Black and Jude Law.
I always get so excited when I’m going to watch Love Actually! It is simply one of the best Christmassy films out there, full of all different kinds of love stories that really do melt your heart, the little boy is my fave, so cute! It also has a huge amazing line up of actors, including Liam Neeson, Hugh Grant, Alan Rickman (rest in peace:() and Kiera Knightly. And if anyone is a Walking Dead fan then you’ll be glad to know that Andrew Lincoln who plays Rick Grimes is in this movie with his normal British accent haha!
It’s probably no surprise to most people that I love all things Halloween! Not just the day but the whole month of October leading up to Halloween, all things spooky come out in shops and I love seeing everyone all dressed up and with all their creative makeup looks too.
I’ve always had a quirkeyness and unique style and yes I’m a little weird in lots of different ways and I actually like these things about myself. Halloween is the time of year where I don’t feel to nervous to show my gothical creepy fashion style to pour out of me! I like creepy things all year round, so with all the amazing fashion pieces and home decor available around Halloween just makes me excited! It’s always an expensive month haha.
Dressing up is something I dearly love doing and it excited me seeing everyone else be so creative and getting in the spirit too! Halloween let’s us be freaky and cool and no-one can judge us!
Another thing I adore about Halloween is the decorations and pumpkin carving! It’s a tradition every year me and my boyfriend Adam carve pumpkins together and it’s always so much fun. We can’t forget all the spooky and delicious treats around Halloween too! Including candy apples YUM.
Movies and TV around Halloween are also so great! Tv shows and soaps always do Halloween themed episodes really cool and I love them every year. I have a huge list of scary and non-scary films that I adore which are all associated with Halloween. I have been watching Hocus Pocus, The Craft and The nightmare before Christmas which are just a few of my faves! I always love all things witchy and I always try to express my witchy vibes through the way I look and style myself, people always compliment on it too and that makes me feel good. 😊🕸🌙🔮 if I could be a real witch and live in Salem, omg I would die! Dreams can happen right?
What’s your favourite scary movie? I am a big film fanatic, I love to watch all types of films and when i’m in the mood I can sit down with Adam and put on a scary one. Not gunna lie, as i’ve got older i have become more of a wimp when it cones to scary films haha!
So here is my list of my favourites for you to go and watch this Halloween to get you in the scary spirit! 👻
The halloween series are my all time fave films in the horror genre, it’s a classic! Good ole Michael Myers on his killing mission, I just love it. The basic plot is that a 6 year old Michael Myers kills his sister on Halloween night and 15 years later he escapes jail and is back to kill. The mask he wears creeps me out and he looks so freaky it makes me sit on the edge of my seat. 😛 The fact it is set on Halloween the day itself too is a great reason to sit down and watch these films in October. There are 8 films altogether, which is mad! And they are all definitley worth a watch. Go get the box set and have a movie weekend!
Now this is a classic, the newer remake was okay but not a touch on the classic film. Now this is a real slasher film, and Freddy Krueger still freaks me the hell out! I am pretty sure when I was a young teenager I would of had a nightmare at one point haha. He haunts people dreams and kills them in the dream, which they end up actually being killed in real life, just imagine that.. This is a real thrill seeker for me! His face with those claws, argh.
Again with another classic horror, you can tell I like the classics more than todays horror films which are made can’t you, I just feel they get more of a thrill to them. The thing I love about scream is you really do keep guessing who the killer is and when you find out in the end it’s like oooh … haha. Somebody in the town is a killer which goes around trying to kill everyone who is friends with Sydney, a high school student. There’s a whole back story to it as well and it’s a really good film to watch, also Scary Movie is a spoof of this and it is hilarious!! 🙂
‘Jeepers creepers, where’d you get those peepers’
That song always give me the creeps still. I love Jeepers creepers, it’s one of the film ms that as a teenager when i’d have a sleepiver with my friends we would always stick this in ghe dvd player to watch. I gotta say that I do much prefer the 2nd film to the 1st but they are both worth a watch if you haven’t seen them! It’s basically about a creature thing who beeds to eat once every 23 years and guess what it eats.. Yep, humans! It’s an awesome creepy film!
Last but not least is The Shining! Jack Nicholson is fantastic in this film! It’s about him and his family move into an isolated hotel in the middle of nowhere to get over his writers block for the winter. But an evil and spiritual presence influences the father into violence, while his psychic son sees horrific things from the past and of the future. The thing I like about The Shining is that the focus is more on the horror and fear rather than gore.
So do you have any favourite scary movies? 👻
