I’m back! I’ve been super busy with work and then it was my birthday and my boyfriend took me to Paris for the week, we went to Disneyland too, it was simply amazing!! Today I am reviewing my September Birchbox! I love the moment when my dad walks in my room and says “delivery for Sophie” and I was extra pleased that this time is was my Birchbox! September’s theme was a Birthday theme as they are celebrating 5 years of Birchbox *Happy Birthday Birchbox!* and I was loving it as it was also my birthday month! Yipeee. *now I’m 23!!*
So this month I wanted to do it a bit different and wait until after September had been and gone and then write about the products after I have been using them for a bit so I get to review them and give opinions, rather than just telling you what’s in the box! So I hope you like it, here goes…
| Laura Mercier | Face Polish | £26 |
I really loved using this face polish, I haven’t used a ‘polish’ before so it was nice to try something new! I just massaged it into my clean, damp skin every couple of days and wash off and it left me face super soft and buffed away any dead skin cells and my skin felt a little more hydrated too!
| John Masters Organics | Citrus & Neroli Detangler | £16 |
I only got round to using this once so far but when I did, it left my hair feeling so so nice and super soft! I applied it to my wet, clean hair and left it in for 3 minutes (it also says you can use it as a leave in treatment?! Oooh) It has coconut oil and wheat amino acids which help nourish strands of hair whilst neroli and grapefruit soothe troublesome scalps.
| Laqa & Co | Lip pencil in Cray-Cray | £17 |
Okay, so this isn’t a very good colour for my liking, as I am more into my dark lippies or nudes and reds and stuff! This one is a quite orange, peachy coral colour and it is super pigmented which I do love. It seems like a gorgeous colour for summertime and I’m sure I may use it more in the future!
| Beauty Protector | Beauty Wash | £8
I love the smell of this! It is a lovely body wash which foams up wonderfully and it was so lovely to use, a big change from my usual Lush shower gels too! Definitely very luxurious to use and it leaves my skins super soft with a gorgeous scent left behind too.
| Benefit | the POREfessional: license to blot | £15.50 |
This does wonders! I have never heard of anything like this and it comes in super handy as sometimes I do tend to go oily, especially around my T-zones. It is a unique oil-blotting stick using tiny blotting spheres to mattify shine. It is a nice little size and I pop it in my handbag as it comes in handy throughout the day. I like to use it on my nose, forehead and chin.
| The Birchbrush | £5.99 |
I have been meaning to get myself a tangle teaser for a while but I just always forget about simple things like a hairbrush when I’m out shopping, too obsessed with all the clothes and make-up! Haha! This has been my favourite thing from the September Birchbox as I have been using it every single day and it is also a good size to keep in my handbag. Love it! It is a perfect on-the-go, the gorgeous blue colour is so nice too.
That is everything from September’s Birchbox, I am very pleased with all the products! I am looking forward to the next one! Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed it. 😀
Until next time lovelies!
